HICKORY – Flossie Marie Nolan 93, of Hickory passed away on June 9, 2022 at Trinity Ridge.
Flossie was born on June 29, 1928 in Yancey County, to the late Blite and Bertha Jones Rector. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling with her husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, P. D. Nolan; siblings, Ruth Anderson, Elsie McDaniel, Alvoid Rector, Theodore Rector, Cartha Gaye, Cordy Conner, Velvie Ketcham, and Hugh Rector.
Survivors include her son, Gary Nolan and wife Dana and numerous other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Jan Lovelace officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM – 2 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 80 28th St. NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
