Mrs. Frances Roberts Hensley

HICKORY, Frances Roberts Hensley, age 68 of Hickory went home to the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2016, at her home. Frances was born on June 29, 1947 in Carter County Tennessee to Ralph and Margaret Edens Roberts and had lived in Catawba County since 1965. She was a deeply religious person and got her strength from the Lord. Frances was preceded in death by the Love of her life and husband, Grover Hensley; brothers Danny Roberts and Samuel Roberts. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Roberts and wife Donna of Hickory and Jim Roberts of Roanoke, Virginia; brothers, Clarence Roberts and wife Judy of Bakersville, North Carolina and Ed Roberts and wife Sherry of Vale; sisters, Sue Blair and husband Jim of Hickory and Sharon Melton and husband Tommy of Hickory; grandchildren, Sumer Roberts of Little River, South Carolina, Autumn Roberts of Hickory and beloved cousin, friend and caregiver Connie Yates of Hickory. There will be a Celebration of Frances’s life at 6:30 pm, Thursday January 28, 2016 at Catawba Funeral Home in Hickory with Pastor Tom Church officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Friday, January 29, 2016 at Brookford Cemetery in Hickory.
