Gabriel Benjamin Revis

Claremont – Gabriel Benjamin Revis, 6 of Claremont went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte surrounded by his family.

Born on January 16, 2015 in Mecklenburg County, NC, he was the son of Christopher Slaughter and April Revis. Gabriel loved smiling, listening to music, watching TV and playing with his toys. He always brought joy to everyone he met and he will be dearly missed.

Gabriel is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eunie and Neomia Revis; 2 uncles, Mark Benjamin Revis and Jimmy Slaughter Jr.

Gabriel is survived by his parents, Christopher Slaughter and April Revis; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Melinda Slaughter and Deloris Slaughter, father’s fiancé, Cindy Benson and her daughter, Cheyenne Benson, Gabriel’s sister, Sasha Jones; and his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; God parents, Scott and Crystal Hamby; spiritual grandmother, Lolly (Brenda Sisk), and his extended family at LCH8 and Cardinal Kids.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hearts and Hope or Cardinal Kids at Carolina Caring.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home at 3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602 on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 3:00 pm.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
