Hickory – Glen Allen Franklin, 73 of Hickory passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Born on January 1, 1948 in Burke County, NC; Glen was the son of the late Eulan Glenn and Bessie Hildebran Franklin. He was an avid fisherman, bowler and woodworker.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Franklin.
Glen is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Diane Franklin; one daughter, Monica Arney, two sons, Eulan Franklin and wife Jozette and Elliot Franklin; a sister, Brenda Childers and husband, Dean. He is also survived by four grandsons, two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsyth Medical Center in Glen’s name.
