He was born on July 27, 1935 to the late Grady Earnest Setzer and Lou Ellen Burnette Sweet of Haywood County. He was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Grady was also an ordained Preacher and was very active in his church. He loved God and his family very much.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Roy Dewey Burnette.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Betty Burnette of the home; daughters, Sherry Dianne Burnette of New Jersey, Luanne Burnette Oates of Cherryville, Laura Burnette Moyer of Cherryville; sons, Grady Henry Burnette Jr. and wife Angelia Cepeda of Florida, Daniel Lee Burnette and wife Teressa of Vale, Dwayne Burnette and fiancé Jeanie of Georgia; step-daughter, Laura Ann Hass and husband Rick of Hickory, twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren, and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Gloryland Baptist Church. Pastor Tony Childers will be officiating the service.
