He was born on January 12, 1933 in Lincoln County to the late Maurice and Audrey Hoyle Wilson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Hal was an Army Veteran, and Owner/Operator of Wilson Grading.
Survivors include his wife Beulah M. Wilson of the home; sons William Thomas Wilson and wife Angie of Hickory, and Steven H. Wilson and wife Jada of Hickory; daughters Vyonda M. Duggan and husband Vance of Newland, and Wanda K. Pearson and husband Wayne of Granite Falls; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a brother Claude F. Wilson and wife Sylvia of Hickory.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home. Graveside will follow at 2:30pm at Zion Lutheran Church with Reverend Roger Lee officiating. Military honors will be presented at graveside.
