He was born in McDowell County on March 9, 1944, he was the son of the late George W. and Catherine Blackwell Moore.
Dale was devoted to his family and to his lifelong career as a Truck Driver for over 50 years where he was known as “Flat Top”. A loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend; he will be deeply missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter Shanna Carter and husband Robert of Denver; a son Russell Blinson and fiancé Kimberly of Hickory; grandchildren Hannah Curtis, Aspen Carter, and George Blinson. He is also survived by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
