As was her wishes she will be cremated. She was born on September 27, 1927 to the late George and Mabel Nelson of Boone, IA.
She was married to the late Robert Lee Young for 54 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by Kirk Young.
Irene is survived by Linda Hendrickson of Longview, NC, David Young of Brandon, FL, Robert Young of Lebanon, CT, Pamela Frantz of Northglenn, CO, William Young of Hickory, NC, Cheryl Dauphinais of Brooklyn, CT, Cindy Frantz of Putnam, CT, and Patricia Moore of Moosup, CT.
A memorial service will be held in Danielson, CT.
