Jack Wayne Travis

JACK WAYNE TRAVIS CONNELLY SPRINGS-Jack Wayne Travis, 72 of Connelly Springs went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 5, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on September 17, 1944 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Hubert and Fleeta Reinhardt Travis. Jack was a member of First Baptist Icard. Jack was a US Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and he raced go-carts until he was fifty-five years old. Jack was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather; definitely one of a kind. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Anne Glover. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Pat Travis of Connelly Springs; daughter, Kelly Robinson and husband Jeff of Connelly Springs; grandchildren, Hunter and Jordan Robinson of Connelly Springs; and numerous other family members who loved Jack with all their heart. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11 am at Catawba Memorial Park with Dr. Michael Pardue officiating. Burial will follow.
