James Brandon Boydstone

James Brandon Boydstone, 90, of Hickory was reunited with his wife of 50 years, Sandra, on Monday, February 10th, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on September 7th, 1934, in Pulaski County, Arkansas, James was the son of the late Joseph Oscar Boydstone and Dorothea Theresa Brandon Boydstone. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Our loss is heaven’s gain.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his late wife, Sandra Lee Worley Boydstone; a brother, Joseph Oscar Boydstone, II and wife, Virginia; a niece, Theresa Ann Amerson; as well as a great grandson, Ethan Maxwell McIntyre.

Those who cherish his memory include two daughters, Miriam Theresa Boydstone McIntyre and husband, Stephen, and Dorothea Marie Boydstone Schulze and husband, Martin; five grandchildren, Kathryn McIntyre Markwell and husband, Clinton, Margaret Ruth McIntyre, James Brandon McIntyre and wife, Lauren, Baylen Luis Andres Parada; and Ashley Marie Isabel Parada; two great grandchildren, Cara James McIntyre and Brynn Elizabeth McIntyre, a nephew, Joseph Oscar Boydstone, III and wife, Aubry; one great nephew, Clyde Allen Amerson, as well as three great nieces, Kinsey Lara Boydstone, Taylor Larkey Williams and Theresa Alexandra Boydstone.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the Toys for Tots in James’ name.
