HICKORY – James B. Rees. 71 of Hickory passed away on July 23, 2025.
Born on January 23, 1954 in Hamilton County, OH he was the son of the late Samuel and Jane Rees. JB was the head public defender in Fayette County, WV for 30 plus years. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was an avid UK sports fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Rees.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 10 AM at Catawba Memorial Park.
