Joe Allen Dellinger

Joe Allen Dellinger passed away December 16th of 2022 on a Friday night at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Joe at his time of passing was 70 years old. He lived at 401 9th St, NE, Conover. He is survived by his Uncle Harold and no other living relatives. Joe before he started getting sick, cut his own firewood, grew his own garden and tended his own property. He was a hearty man and a hard working man that cared for his friends as much as his family. You could always rely on Joe. If you asked for his help he was there be it instruction or getting into the thick of it. He loved to “scooter poot” as he called it adventuring around with his adopted Grand Daughter my wife Brandy Ramsey and her friend Tasha and if you didn't find him with them he was with one of his other friends out “scooter pooting”. He was also a fantastic story teller. I never really knew if the gnomes he saw in Germany were real but the story was very entertaining in the July heat. The man loved to laugh and smile and he brought great joy to our family. He held my son when he first came home and joked with me about how his name was on the birth certificate. This world grew a little darker on the day we all lost Joe. My family as I am sure all of his friends will also, forever miss the little old smiling man we knew as Joe. May he forever rest in peace and may we each and everyone remember and smile on the good times we had with him and the many smiles he brought to our faces. His celebration of life will be hosted at the Ramsey residence 316 Center Street, Morganton, Nc 28655 on Sunday the 8th of January 2023 at 12:00 Am-1:30 Pm. All funeral costs and memorial fees have been covered; no donations are necessary.
