Johnny Ray Seagle, 62, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2025. He was born on February 18, 1963, in Valdese to Ray Seagle and Lucille Lail Seagle. On April 30, 2005, he married the love of his life, Winona Seagle, and they shared nearly 20 wonderful years together.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Ray Seagle; his grandparents, Dan and Carrie Seagle and Alex and Zora Lail; His sister, Diana Hampton.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Winona Seagle; his beloved mother, Lucille Seagle; and his daughter, Brooklyn Seagle whom he always called his little girl. He also leaves behind his stepdaughters, Shaunya Willman and Morgan Koscheck; his cherished grandchildren, Maddox Willman and Lili Moore; and his sister, Cindy McEndree, and her husband, Edmond. Johnny’s memory will live on through his nephew, Nathan, and his nieces, Katie, Emma, Mary and Ashley, as well as his Aunt Imogene Keaton and many cousins with whom he shared special bonds.
Johnny dedicated his life to Jehovah God on May 12, 1984, and found immense joy in sharing his faith with others. His kindness, patience, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew him. A member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he attended the Conover Congregation, where he formed deep and lasting friendships.
Beyond his faith, Johnny had a profound love for music, especially The Beatles. Whether humming their tunes or reminiscing about their songs, music was a constant source of joy in his life. His warmth, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Johnny’s family finds comfort in the promise of being reunited again. As Revelation 21:3-4 reminds us:
"With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: 'Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”
We find great comfort in the resurrection hope and the fulfillment of this promise here on earth.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Conover, NC, or online at JW.org.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 3 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1403 S NC-16 Business, Newton NC 28658.
