She was born on May 3, 1921 to the late Robert L. Reinhardt and Lillie Cline Reinhardt in Altavista, VA. Kathleen was a long time member of Hildebran United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and cooking for her family. Kathleen also volunteered at Frye Regional Medical Center for many years. She loved traveling with her husband David and spending time with her family.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, David Andrew Hutto, Jr.; and brother, Elvin Reinhardt.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Ann Hutto of Hickory, Beth Hutto Hefner and husband Brent of Hickory; sons, David A. Hutto,III and wife Sherry of Conover, Steve Hutto of Hickory; grandchildren, Amy Wheatley and husband Scott of Hickory, Clay Hefner and wife Jamie of Hickory, Sarah Hutto of Conover; great grandchildren, Emma, Aubrey and Kendall Wheatley, Aidyn and Rilyn Lewis, Harper Hefner and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 3: 00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2: 00 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Tony Bowman will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
