Kim E. Maritz, 52 of Newton went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Kim was preceded in death by her mother Alice. She is survived by her father, John and her step mother Betty of Hickory. sister, Karla Garris of Florence, South Carolina; uncle, Chester Dean Maritz of Hickory : 5 nieces; many special friends at Adult Life and Piedmont Village and special friends Keith and Penny Avery, Jerry and Nancy. A celebration of Kim’s life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1 PM at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover with Dr. Ed Yount officiating.
