Larry Gene Teague

Larry was born October 28, 1940 in Catawba Co. to the late Jay and Lula Fisher Teague. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Dawn Teague and a brother, Macre Teague. He was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church where he served as a deacon minister to 19 families, served on the finance committee, choir member and Sunday School teacher, Fallen Hero Ministeries and was on the church softball team. He loved Atlanta Braves Baseball “ Freddie Freeman”. Surviving is his wife, Linda Duckworth Teague of Hickory; daughter, Cindy Beasley and husband, Mike of Hickory; brother Richard Van Teague and wife, Marshalein of Hickory; sister, Jeanette T. Ridley and husband, Frank of Hickory; grandsons, Christian and Blake Beasley of Hickory; two sister-in-law’s, Coleen McGee of Claremont and Eva Teague of Rutherfordton; nieces and nephews, Kent Teague, Tamara Nance, Karen Cordell, Steven Teague, Kathy Kuhbander, Amy Prater, Peter Teague, Ben Ridley, Derreck McGee and Brock McGee and four God children, Tanner, Katie, Carrie and Aaron Mellon of Taylorsville. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 24, from 1:00 until 2:45 PM at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Services will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Homer Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Christian Beasley, Blake Beasley, Steven Teague, Kent Teague, Scott Lowdermilk and Ben Ridley.
