

Born in Avery County on April 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Rachel Brewer Ford.
In addition to her parents her husband of 50 years, Glenn Lewis Seabock and her sister Mary Franklin preceded her in death.
Lila graduated from Avery County High School, at only 5’2” she was the captain of her basketball team. She attended Lees McRae College, and was a lab technician for 30 years at Catawba Pediatrics. Lila enjoyed being outside with her flowers, and the sunshine. In her younger years, she and Glenn loved square dancing. She was a long time member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Her daughters Elizabeth “Beth” Smith and husband Chris of Newton, and Sarah Seabock of Hickory; granddaughter Jessica Smith of Newton; great granddaughter Lydia Smith of Newton; sisters Alice Dameron and husband Bill of Greensboro, Opal Lee of Newland and Mae Hughes of Newland survive her.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Reverend Ryan Ray officiating.
Burial will follow in church cemetery.
