Linda Kay Austin

HICKORY – Linda Kay Austin, 77 of Hickory passed away on September 20, 2024.

Born on June 12, 1947 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late James Bill Mosteller and Mary Louise Lindsay Preslar. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Preslar Jr and sister, Mary Ann Preslar.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, James Allen Austin and wife Lori; grandchildren, Whitney Austin Smith and husband Michael, Megan Austin Henry, Tiffany Faith Hill; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Preslar Sr. and wife Linda; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 2 PM at Catawba Memorial Park with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring or Humane Society.
