

Lois “Nana” Taylor Hall, 90, of Conover, NC, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born on April 8, 1927 in Comers Rock, VA, she was the daughter of the late Bayard Taylor and Geneva Hackler Taylor. Mrs. Hall was a member of First United Methodist Church in Conover, NC and attended Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Conover, NC. She was also a member of “BPW” Business Professionals Women’s Organization, and the Newton Kiwanis Club where she was the 1st female President. She retired from Siecor currently known as Corning. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ray Hall; four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Hall is survived by her daughter, Karren Shinn and husband Edward; son, Gordon Hall and wife Elaine; sister, Wanda Cornett; grandchildren, Michael Lingle and wife Jennifer, Taylor Hall and Kristen Dwiggins and husband Eddie; great grandchildren, Nathan and Addyson Lingle, Luke Wilkinson and Colby Dwiggins. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ Conover, NC with Reverend Peggy Stout and Dr. Gary Royals officiating. A Celebration of Life (visitation) will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. A private burial will be held at Catawba Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Hall to Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ at 217 2nd Ave NE Conover, NC 28613 or to First United Methodist Church at 410 1st Ave N Conover, NC 28613..
