Louise Montgomery Rhoney

Louise was born December 11, 1928 in Catawba co. to the late John Gilbert and Minnie Almae Lowman Barger

. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Todd Montgomery; sister, Elizabeth Jane Taylor; brothers, Harold King Barger and Ed Barger and a son-in-law, Jerry Mayberry.

She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and retired from Southern Hosiery.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Fulbright and husband, David, of Vale and Linda Mayberry of Hickory; granddaughters, Cristy M. Carpenter and husband, Alan, of Emerald Isle and Emily Fulbright of Wilmington; grandsons, Andrew Mayberry of Hickory and Jeffrey Fulbright of Vale; great grandsons, A J. Carpenter and Grant Fulbright; great granddaughter, Mallory Carpenter; sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Boleman and husband, James of Hickory and Pat Duncan and husband, Bert, of Hickory a special roommate, Jaelean Bowman, special care giver Jorge Castro and former husband, Albert Rhoney of Vale.

Services will be Thursday, January 3, at 2:00 p. M. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Hooks officiating.

The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorials Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 until 7:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
