LUCILLE PRIDGEN DIXON CONOVER – Lucille Pridgen Dixon, 89 of Conover went home to be with her Lord on April 28, 2017. She was born on June 5, 1927 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Willis and Sarah Clay Pridgen. Lucille was dedicated to her family and her church. She was a nurse for over fifty years and a dedicated caregiver but her true passion was cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother. Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Alden Dixon of the home, children, Brenda Gibson and husband Chris of Hickory, Marion Dixon and Sally of Morganton, Nancy Boggs and husband Kevin of Hickory; grandchildren, Jeffrey Rikard of Connelly Springs, Kelly Rikard and wife Chrissy of Garner, NC , Jarrod Dixon of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Tyler Rikard of Hickory, Reagan Rikard of Garner, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private Graveside service officiated by Ministers Carl Bowles and Kevin Bibbee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hickory Church of Christ.
