Marian Lucille Burns

Marian was born August 23, 1928 in Catawba Co. to the late Edward Campbell and Elva Janie Justice Burns. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, eight sisters and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was very active in her church work and attended when she was able and a retiree from First Union Bank.

She is survivied by 13 nieces and nephews, a number of great nieces and nephews and great- great nieces and nephews. She was a mother figure to all.

The family wants to thank all the staff of Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, Dr. Michael Tate and the staff of Carolina Oncology, Dr. Jim Hodges and staff and to Dr. Douglas Eller and staff at Viewmont Urology.

Services will be Monday, July 9, at 11:00 A. M. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. William F. Milholland officiating.

Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 9:45 – 10:45 A. M. at the church.
