

Marilyn was born August 21, 1929 in Burke Co. to the late Franklin and Lillie Lail Bollinger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wayne Lowman, three sisters, Evelyn Shuford, Jewel Robinson and Grace Barber and a brother, Alvin Bollinger.
She was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church, retired as a sewer for Hickory Tavern Furniture and also worked for Henry River Mills for many years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who loved life in general also loved her church, family and loved traveling and flowers.
Surviving are daughters, Teresa Price and husband Roy of Hickory and Marie Speagle and husband, Kimmie of Vale, son, Dwight Wayne Lowman and wife, Shefy of Hickory, granddaughters: Jennifer Johnson and husband, Matthew, Amanda Stilwell and husband, Greg, Cynthia Price all of Hickory and Lauren Speagle of Vale, grandson: Matthew Price of Hickory, great-granddaughters, Sara Johnson, Rose Stilwell and Emma Stilwell all of Hickory and a great-grandson, Noah Johnson of Hickory.
Services will be Friday, May 20, at 2:00 P. M. at Southside Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Honeycutt, Rev. James Lindsey and Rev. Michael Barber officiating.
Interment will follow in Sardis Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 – 8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
