Martha "Bobbie" Abernethy

VALE----Martha “Bobbie” Jane Charles Abernethy, 56, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Forsyth Hospital. Martha was born April 26, 1959 in Pike Co, Ky. to the late Phyllis Charles Coleman. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step father, Thomas Blankenship; niece, Cheyenne Cline and father-in-law, Bill Abernethy. Martha was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was secretary for the Abernethy Welding. Surviving are her husband, Christopher Abernethy of Vale; son, Billy Abernethy and wife, Shonda of Vale; sisters, Debbie Bailey of Hickory, Kathy Lester and husband, Randall of Vale and Sandi Cline and husband, Benny of Peterstown, W VA; mother-in-law, Frances Abernethy and an uncle, Dennis Charles and wife, Anna of Taylorsville; 4 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday, October 28, at 2:30 P. M. at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Walsh and Rev. Ernie Richards officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 28, from 1:00 – 2:15 P. M. at Providence Baptist Church.
