

Max Edward Lynch, 56, of Hickory, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 27, 2012. Born August 11, 1956 in Hickory, he was the son of the late Howard and Mackey Lynch. Max worked at Coca-Cola of Hickory for over 30 years. Max loved his family and friends deeply. He had a lot of varied interests, including trips to Myrtle Beach, watching TV Land, UNC basketball, Nascar, and his beloved New York Yankees. Music was a big part of his life, including classic rock, beach and Motown. Max also enjoyed cooking and singing in the church choir.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Debby Lynch; daughter, Amanda Lynch of Hickory; son, Brian Lynch of Hickory; cousins, Larry Isenhour and wife Nancy of Hickory and Donna Heavner and husband Mike of Lenoir; uncle, Walter Lynch and wife Rachel of Hickory, aunts, Louise Lynch of Newton, and Mary Hoyle of Vale; and many other family members and lifelong friends.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Bethany Lutheran Church of Hickory, with Rev. Dan Duke officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
