I met McCoy at Autozone. Every single time I would come in the front door, he would ask me in a very excited voice, “how was your run“. I will always say, “it was a pretty good day“. McCoy would reply with an equally excited voice, “Man, that’s what I love to hear, a great day!“. This would always make me smile no matter how tired I was. And he always said the same thing with the same enthusiasm no matter how tired he was. It breaks my heart to learn of his passing, everyone loved him and I am definitely going to miss seeing and hearing from him. God has gained a great soul.  Prayers for your family.

I remember sitting right in front of him in Mrs mcdaniel’s math class ,& how he sat maybe 4 feet from the window or Regina Travis’s English class ,near Deanna Martin & Kylie Parker ,I remember doing a project with him & a couple other kids ,it was a trip to Italy ,I remember he told Katina peck over a Jacobs fork “everybody in my family has blonde hair”his favorite color was orange .i remember talking with him about going to a fabric Store & making 👨🏻‍🎓Ourselves,he said “I’m not a good seamstress” ,he was one of the last ones I heard from(besides teachers) because I had him in my ccsk12.net gmail ,it’s just 😔 ,why the lord has called him up is beyond any of us but he’s got some reason or another,

Larry & Kelly my heart is broken for you two  & so sad  to hear that McCoy was taking out so soon Such a young amazing young man accomplishing & starting new journey here on earth When God called McCoy on home  I love you two & will pray for God to hold you two tight through this time & days to come not spending the day with McCoy in the flesh but knowing one day soon seeing McCoy  in Heaven soon !! Prayers & thoughts & my deepest love & hugs to you two & family & friends  God be with you all 🙏🏼♥️😇😂

My deepest and sincerest condolences to the family and everyone. I met McCoy when he began working at AutoZone. He was the friendliest and most helpful person I had ever met. I never saw him in a bad mood. He was my "go to guy" when I walked in the door. He will definitely be missed by me, and certainly many others.

I have known McCoy ever since the first day of kindergarten. He was good, sweet, compassionate, kind, and always such a goofball who could bring a smile to anyone's face. I know he brought many to mine; whether it was in class, on the bus, or on the playground during recess when we were kids. He was such a good soul. I'm grateful that I got to know him a little throughout the years. It was a pleasure and a privilege. Thank you McCoy, I'll miss you.

McCoy was one of the funniest, sweetest, goofiest, most caring  person I know. He would walk into a room and it would light up. He would make sure to get a smile or laugh out of you. I can’t forget about the dance moves from my 16th birthday party. He was the life of the party. He will be missed by so many. There is not another person in this whole world to fill his shoes. We all love you McCoy!❤️

McCoy wasn’t just a bestfriend McCoy has always been like a brother to me i remember in school he would always call my name out in the hallway so loud bc he knew I would be embarrassed, but overall McCoy is one of the Bestfriend’s I could’ve had in school if anyone was talking about me he stood up for me on days I didn’t feel good in math class we had together he would walk me to the front office just to make sure I got there safe! McCoy is truly gonna be missed it’s all crazy to process this but God knew what he was doing when he brought McCoy in this world he truly was a blessing to everyone and that’s something we always will remember!!! His contagious laugh and smile will be miss McCoy always had a smile and always wanted to make sure someone was included he didn’t leave no one out and he was special he was definitely one of a kind and definitely someone no one could forget love you McCoy thanks for being the bestfriend I could’ve ever asked for❤️

I didn't have a lot of classes with McCoy unfortunately but every single interaction I had with him was so positive and so fun, he was just a naturally fun person to be around. I still remember him talking to me about Sonic heroes in my 1st period astronomy class.  I wish I got a chance to see him again outside of highschool, rest easy man you were a good soul. 

McCoy was one of my coworkers at AutoZone. I remember when he was first hired he was instantly liked by everyone there. He talked about going to school and what his hopes for the future were. I always knew he was going to do great things. He always had jokes locked and ready to go. He was a genuinely funny guy. 

I will definitely miss McCoy.  

I met McCoy while working at Mr Tire in Hickory when he would deliver parts to us from AutoZone and after I left Mr Tire I would still go to AutoZone and buy parts from him and if he wasn’t there I would wait til his next day there. He was an amazing young man, very caring and funny. He will surely be missed!

I’ve known of McCoy for years but we really didn’t start talking until my junior year which was his senior year. I had the honor of having him as a coworker and a friend. McCoy was like a brother to me. He brought a smile to everyone’s face and was the heartbeat of our job. You could never be in a bad mood around him. He was an absolute blessing to this earth. But I have peace knowing that he is in a better place now. Rest easy buddy, you deserve it

I remember growing up with him. He’s been a brother to me ever since day 1. He was the one who brought me up when I was down and I would always do the same for him. Going back in time I think about the many trips we took with our youth group the day we sat on Caleb’s lap while he was dressed like Santa and much more. McCoy had the heart of a king and the personality that many people wish they could have. His smile would brighten a room and his goofiness would bring joy in everyone’s lives. He was the best out of the whole group and the guys all miss him dearly. His mother and father in the pain they are in didn’t deserve to lose him so soon but I know one thing and that thing is hell forever live on in every single one of our hearts. Fly high brother and burn some rubber for me I’ll see you when I get there ❤️😢

I knew McCoy since day one of elementary school, he had always been such a good friend to me. It was always a good time when he was around. You never think its going to be one of us, it just feels unreal. He will be greatly missed, he will never be forgotten, I send my prayers to his family and pray they stay strong in this time.

I had only known McCoy for a couple of months when we became co-workers, but it was obvious immediately that he was one of the finest young men in existence.  He always had a big smile, an energetic and positive attitude, and time to answer questions and help me find things.  He worked so hard with such joy.  No matter how bad my day, he always made me smile when I'd hear him brightly call out his usual greeting "Miss Jan-Jan!"  

He was sunshine itself in the store.  To say that he will be missed is more than an understatement.  Our only solace is knowing that we will see him again someday on that beautiful shore.

There was never a day he wasn't laughing or making us laugh at work.  He made sure to always say hey and give everyone a nickname. He was always so sweet and would help out whenever you needed. We will miss him so much from the jokes, the laughter, the stories and just his personality <3 Rest Easy McCoy

We met at vacation Bible school when I was about 8 years old; during a race behind the church he turned to me as we started running and said “I farted so now I have a speed boost” 
That was the first thing he ever said to me and 12 years later I remember it vividly. 
I’m glad we know where you are now but I’ll miss you buddy.
