Michael Eugene Burns

Michael was born December 17, 1966 in Catawba County to the late Bobby Eugene and Patricia Roseman Burns. He was also preceded in death by his sister in law Tammy E. Burns and a nephew Dustin Burns. Michael was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked for Bumgarner Oil. He loved doing handywork around the house and family outings.Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Tammy Killian Burns, a son Dylan Burns of the home and his fiancee Brittiany Whitlock of Maiden, a sister Sandra Munday and her husband Edward of Hickory, brothers David Burns of Claremont, Dennis Burns and his wife Dawn of Granite Falls, Mark Burns and his fiancee Deborah Austin of Hickory, father in law Darrell Killian and his wife Carolyn of Conover, mother in law, Mary Meyer and her husband William of Conover, a niece, and two nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 5th, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, November 6th, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Bert Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
