Pamella Wright Reitzel

Pamella Wright Reitzel, age 65, of Hickory, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born January 4, 1951, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Holden Wright and Flossie Mae Willis. Pamella dedicated 23 years of service to MDI as a Supervisor in the cafeteria. Along with her parents, Pamella is preceded in death by her sister Faye Poteat and her brother Bobby Wright. Surviving are her husband, Gary L. Reitzel, of the home; daughters; Tina Hobgood and husband Bill of Servierville, TN, Dee Dee Reitzel of Hickory, son; Gary Reitzel Jr. and wife Penny of Vale, sister; Brenda Hollar and husband Junior of Conover, brothers; Donald Wright and wife Margie of Hickory, Mike Wright and wife Sarah of Statesville, Jackie Wright of Hickory, Ricky Wright of Hickory, sister-in-law; Joyce Wright of Granite Falls, grandchildren; Tosha Marlow, Kayla Bowers, Tristan Williams, Cody Williams, Shelby Hobgood, Skyler Hobgood, Jesse Reitzel, and Taylor Lail. She is also survived by her loving companion; Boobear of the home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park. Pastor Bill Ashe will be officiating the services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tristan Williams, Cody Williams, Scott Horton, Rick Boyles, Cody Christopher, and Lance Isom. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Red Cross, P.O.
