Mrs. Peggy Weaver Payne

Peggy was born January 15, 1932 in Catawba Co. to the late Dewey and Lola Reese Weaver.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Payne, Sr., a sister and 2 brothers.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired from King Hickory Furniture.

Surviving are a daughter: Pam Helms of Hickory, granddaughters: Amaree Davis and husband, Ben of Raleigh and Ashlyn Helms of Hickory, sisters: Faye Weaver, Shirley Bolick and Lois Deese all of Hickory and Betty Starnes of Granite Falls, brothers: Jerry Weaver, Howard Weaver and Ray Weaver all of Hickory, a great grandchild, Wickham Davis of Raleigh and a number of nieces & nephews.

Services will be Thursday, March 3, at 3:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Kenny Swanson officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 – 2:45 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
