

Ralph was born November 4, 1943 in Mecklenburg Co. to the late Ralph Everette Hefner, Sr. and Leona Barnette Hefner.
He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod, an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War serving in Korea and worked 45 years for Winn-Dixie, many years as manager on Springs Road. Since his retirement, he had been working part time for Galaxy Foods on Springs Rd.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Bennett Hefner of the home, sons: Jeremy Hefner and wife Jewel of Mt. Airy and Nathan Hefner of Greensboro: granddaughters, Maddie Hefner and Kayley Hefner both of Mt. Airy, sister: Judy Houser and husband, Donald of Vale and a brother: Gerald Hefner and wife Debbie of Kannapolis, nieces: Erika Hefner, Debbie Heavner, Marci Houser and a nephew, Danny Houser.
Services will be Sunday, December 12, at 3:30 P. M. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod with Reverends David Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with graveside military honors conducted by American Legion Post #16.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
