Raye Edward Selph

Raye Edward "Eddie" Selph, 60, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at his residence. Eddie was born April 2, 1953, in Catawba County, to the late Sam and Ruth Hice Selph. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur "Butch" Selph and Sam Bennett Selph Jr.; and a sister, Debbie Hunsucker. He was retired from the Hickory Housing Authority. Surviving are his fianc‚e, Arlene Davis, of Hickory; daughters, Brandy Parker and husband, Johnny, of Hickory and Jennifer Sain and husband, Walter Delcid, of Hickory; stepsons, Joseph Icard and B. J. Powell, both of Hickory; grandchildren, Brandon Parker, Austin Parker, Juan McDonald, Shawn McDonald, "KK" Bridges, Bella Bridges, Ava Delcid and Chance Icard; step grandchildren, Mason Icard, Memphis Icard and Calleigh Icard; and sister, Elaine Johnson and husband, Barney, of Hendersonville. Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Winkler's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given for Ray Selph, in care of Hickory Funeral Home, P.O.
