Rhunette Gertrude Wheeler

Born November 7, 1931 in Whiteplains, GA she was the daughter of the late Dock and Norene Cantrell Shelnutt.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, James Wheeler; son, Benjy Wheeler; brother, Dock Shelnutt; sisters, Anne Williamson, Bobbie Meadows, and Gloria Strickland.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Todd Wheeler and wife Linda; daughter, Teresa Lail and husband Gwyn; grandchildren, Lee Wheeler and Fiancé Bria, Trey Gwynn and girlfriend Gina, Brandi Toon, Ben Wheeler and fiancé Kristin Love, Hugh, Chandra Lail and Gwyn Lail II and wife Katie; great grandchildren, Kyle Lail and fiancé Lexi Slusher, Rana Gilley and husband Tim, Ty, Addie and Eli Lail, Braylen Gwynn, Mason Watson, James “Beau” Wheeler IV, Hadley Fox, Kaylee and Kylee Chapman, and Ryder, Sawyer Watts; great great grandchildren, Ryker, Ryler and Kinlee Lail, Tristan and Cali Cody.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, 1pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastors Timothy Sipe and Darren Pennell officiating.
