Richard was born November 24, 1956 in Detroit Michigan.
Preceded in death by a brother, Dennie Lewis Day.
Dale had worked for Fleet Pride in Hickory.
Surviving are His mother Ruth Keller of Hickory, wife Karen Russell Tucker of Hickory, two daughters, Echo Starnes of the home, Lacey Tucker of Hickory, step daughter Angela Hetrick of Taylorsville, step son Steven Russell of Granite Falls, grandchildren Ashley Hetrick, Raven Hetrick, Chance Baker, Maddox Baker, Dezarae Baker, Kayla Dietz, Kyler Dietz, a brother, Harold Day of Vale, three sisters, Libby Keller of Hickory, Kim Clay of Conover and Belinda Bryson of Vale .
A private memorial service will be held on a later date.
