Born in Catawba County, on October 7, 1954, he was the son of the late Dewey "Bud" and Margaret "Carolyn" Carpenter Bowman.
Ricky was a graduate of Hickory High School, and owner/operator of Bowman Pool and Spa. Very hard- working, loving, father, grandfather, very humble and good friend to all. Always will be missed and never forgotten and loved.
He is survived by his daughter Jessica Bowman Petree of Hickory, grandsons Liam and Javin; lifetime partner Ramona Frye Hurst of the home; extended family Susan Bowman, David Lowman, Tim and Stephanie Dishman.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church. Memorial service will follow at 10:30 am with Pastor Paul Deal officiating. Inurnment will follow at church cemetery.
