He was born on November 23, 1929, to the late Preston Bollinger and Lura Yoder Bollinger in Catawba County. Bob was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers and four sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Jean Boyce Bollinger, son, Michael Bollinger, daughters; Cheryl Hedrick and husband Don, Laurie Schon and husband Bob, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.at Tabernacle Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Pastor Scott Hooks will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1225 29th Ave Dr. NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
