Robert "Bob" Ervin McCall

HICKORY - Robert “Bob” McCall, 68, passed away March 17, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice after a period of declining health. Bob was born March 10, 1946 in Burke Co. to the late Clyde Robert and Selma Mae Lingafeldt McCall. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church served as treasurer, deacon and active with Baptist Men’s Assoc. He liked NASCAR, Duke Basketball and gospel music. Surviving are his wife, Ann Bowman McCall of the home; sons, Robbie McCall of Vale and Brian McCall and wife, Christin of Hickory; grandson, Jaycob Bortz of Hickory; granddaughters, Karleigh McCall of Hickory and Lexie McCall of Hickory; brother, Marshall McCall and wife, Susan of Morganton and Harvey McCall and wife, Charlene of Glen Alpine. Services will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 3:00 P. M. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Yount officiating. Internment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:45 P. M. at Woodlawn Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, N.
