HICKORY---Robert Steve McKinney, 65 passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born March 15, 1951 in Catawba County to the late Robert Leland and Joyce Travis McKinney. He was an employee of Whiteside Machine Shop. He is survived by his sons Tyler McKinney and his wife Casey, Chad McKinney and his wife Annette his granddaughter Laina McKinney; his grandson Koltin; his mother Joyce McKinney; his sister Tonya Sheehan and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, April 4, 2016 from 12:45pm to 1:45pm at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 at 2:00pm at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Reverend Scott Bollinger and Reverend Robert Shoffney officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. Online condolences may be left at www.hickoryfh.com.
