CONOVER---Rose Hawn Van Horn, 88, passed away, Thursday, March 30, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Rose was born Mach 29, 1928 in Catawba Co. to the late George and Ruth Sigmon Hawn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Edward Van Horn; son, Dale Van Horn; a brother and two sisters. Rose was a homemaker and member of Valdese First Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, David Van Horn and wife, Simona of Hickory and Drew Van Horn and wife, Camille of Hickory; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and a sister, Peggy Miller of Conover. A graveside service will be Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00 P. M. at Conover City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Jordan officiating.
