She was born on July 29, 1952 to the late Lester Whitaker and Mary Smith in Catawba County. Shiron delivered papers for Hickory Daily Record before retirement.
Along with her parents, her husband; Gary Lee Storie; and grandchild, Casey Huffman preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Tommy Huffman, Micheal Huffman, Lori Shannon, Tamra Lefevers; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 stepsons; her siblings, Linda Hicks, Sarah Davis, Teresa Shook, Donald Moses, and Ricky Moses; Bobbie McCall and her fur-baby, Stinker Bell.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Stewart will be officiating the service.
