

Thelma was born October 4, 1928 in Catawba Co. to the late George and Minnie Stallings Leatherman.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Henry Frank Queen and 11 sisters and brothers.
She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and retired from Belk.
She was a former member of Temple Baptist Church where she was a past Sunday School teacher, organized and served in the homebound ministry as well as other ministries in the church.
She was loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and is survived by sons: Dennis Queen and wife, Sara and Tim Queen and wife, Chris both of Newton, daughter: Pam Johnson and husband, Jeff of Hickory, granddaughters: Tammy Dover and husband, Randy of Newton, Candice Justice and husband, John of Newton, Crystal Hildebran and husband, Ricky of Hickory, Kelli Parker and husband, David of Laredo, TX., Makayla Queen of Newton, grandsons: Robert Queen and wife Meredith of Newton, Kevin Queen and wife Lyndsey of Hickory and Ty Queen of Newton, great grandchildren: Hannah Ireland, Emily Dover, Alejah Queen, Alivia Queen, Paityn Queen, Gavin Queen, Allison and Abigail Justice, Lizzie Hildebran, Caroline Hildebran, Madisyn Parker and Bryson Parker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2:00 P. M. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with the Dr. Ed Yount and Reverend Ken Swanson officiating.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Thelmas grandchildren will serve as pall bearers.
Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
