

He was born on July 18, 1941 in Swain County, NC to the late Thurman Fischer Rose and Mildred Hooper Dills. Louis proudly served in the U.S. Air force and was an avid fisherman. He was a realtor and truck driver at W.L. Trucking Company. Louis was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hickory and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle who will be missed by all.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Rose of the home; son, Joseph Rose and wife, Holly of Eagle Mt., Utah; daughters, Debra Burris and husband, Randy of Canton, NC and Crystal Moore of Arden, NC; brother, Keith Rose of Knoxville, TN; sister, Gypsy Callahan of Taylorsville, NC; grandchildren, Gracie, Jackson, Ella, Olivia, Cardin, and Maxwell Rose all of Eagle Mt., Utah, Matthew Bradshaw and wife, Dixie of Hickory, Michael Bradshaw of Canton, Drew and Adam Moore of Arden; great-grandchildren, Lily and Kayleigh Bradshaw; and a special niece, Tammie Fie.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Union Hill Cemetery in Whittier, NC.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bradshaw, Matthew Bradshaw, Randy Burris, Terry Pierce, and Joseph Rose.
