Victoria Ann Applegate

Victoria Ann Berns Applegate, 82 of Hickory, NC went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on July 20th, 1942, in Huntington, NY, Victoria was the daughter of the late Harry Eric and Vera Christina Engstrom.

In addition to her parents, Victoria is preceded in death by her husband John Kenneth Applegate II.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kurt Driscoll, Frank Driscoll and John Applegate III. Her daughters, Tracy Driscoll-Furguson, Laura Haygood, Deborah Brainard and Tammy Driscoll.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt—a woman who lived life to the fullest. With a heart as warm as her smile, she touched the lives of everyone around her, always ready with a helping hand, a kind word, or a moment of laughter. She shared an eternal love with her husband, her partner in life, and now they are reunited in heaven. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and a spirit that will continue to inspire us all. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the stories she leaves behind.
