She was born on December 22nd, 1937, to the late Estelle Stamey Carswell in Burke County.
Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Franklin Bowman and son, Ricky Alan Bowman.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her son Dennis Bowman of the home; a sister Gaynell Simons of Hickory; a brother Edward Pete Carswell of Valdese, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 10th at 11:00am in the chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:45am-1045am at the funeral home. Reverend Alan Gaylord will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Highland United Methodist Church of Hickory.
