Born on May 7, 1925 in McDowell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late McNardy Good and Cornelia McPeters Good. She was a member or Highland Baptist Church in Hickory; and was a lifelong volunteer of CCM- Cooperative Christian Ministers and Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Orville Atwood; 10 Brothers and 2 sisters.
Mrs. Atwood is survived by her son, Garrell Reitzell and wife Linda; five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations with Chris Wilson officiating.
