Vera was born on July 13, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to Nellie and Francesco Paone, the last daughter and the 4th of 6 exceptionally talented siblings. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Manny, her sisters, Marion and Santina, and her brother, Anthony. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Dan) Graf and Kim, grandchildren, Christopher and Jacqueline, siblings Ada Wolbrum and Frank (Marienne) Paone, and countless nieces and nephews.
Trixie, or ReeRee, as her family called her, loved musical theatre, summer trips to Amagansett and Montauk with her sisters, and gardening. She enjoyed playing friendly, yet competitive, games of Scrabble. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, humor, and love of life. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by her extended Italian family.
Visitation will be a Wagner's Funeral Home 125 West Old Country Road, Hicksville on Wednesday from 4-7pm. A private burial will take place on Thursday at Calverton National Cemetery.
