

Frances McFeely of Levittown, New York, was welcomed into heaven on April 25, 2026. Fran passed away peacefully at the Mary Ann Tully Hospice after a brief illness. She was born in the Bronx, New York, on April 19, 1936, and had just celebrated her 90th birthday. She was born to Forrest and Mabel King and was one of six siblings (George, Elaine, Marie, Joan, Joseph, and Pat). George, Elaine, Joan, and Marie predeceased her.
Fran met her future husband, John (Jack) J. McFeely, during a dance at St. Thomas More Church on East 89th Street in Manhattan. They married on May 19th, 1963, and moved to Levittown in 1965. They had six children together: Tom, Joan (Mario), John, Kathleen (John), Mary, and Michael. Her beloved husband, Jack, predeceased her in 1993.
Together, Fran and Jack were active members of Holy Family School, where all their children attended. Fran and Jack organized a Holy Family fife and drum corps for the 1976 bicentennial celebration. Fran was a Girl Scout cookie mother, lunch mother, and Webelos den mother.
Fran and Jack were also active parishioners at Holy Family Church, where Jack was a lector, and they hosted Pre-Cana and Marriage Encounter sessions in their home.
Fran graduated from ImmaculataHigh School and the Grace Institute, both in New York City. For a time, she worked at Liggett and Myers in Rockefeller Center and lived across from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum with a girlfriend. She went on to work as an administrative assistant at many different companies, including Underwriters Laboratories and Jacoby and Meyers.
Fran was a member of St. Monica’s Widows and Widowers group and served as its secretary for some time. She went on many trips with the group and was always up for the dances. She actually broke a hip while dancing at a St. Monica’s dance.
Fran loved words and was always at work on a New York Times crossword, including Sundays. She loved the movies and was a fan of TCM. She also stayed up to date on recent Academy Awards films. Fran and her son Michael watched many movies together. Fran was a fan of PBS, Britbox, and Acorn mysteries. She loved watching the news, and CNN with Anderson Cooper was her favorite. She also enjoyed a good Frank Sinatra tune. Fran also loved Pekingese and leaves her companion, Maelee, well cared for by her sons.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 17 Fordham Avenue, Hicksville, NY 11803, on May 4, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with family and friends meeting at chuch at 9:45 am.
Interment of Ashes will follow at The Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11590, on May 4, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
