I miss you so much papa you were and always will be the best person I ever knew.

I didn't get a chance to visit your grave yesterday. I was helping lynda pack up the house for Arizona. Kar en was t here helping . I know you didnt mind because you're 3 girls were together.. I love you and miss you everyday. You are the 1st thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about at night.  Missing you  always.  Ellen

Well dad today was a very sad day  It has been a year since you Have been gone. Lynda Karen and I Went to see your memorial, we stood there in the rain and  put hearts on your stone. All I could think of was what a special  man you were and how much I miss you. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you  and kiss your picture.  

This is a very hard day.. its the 1st fathers day without you .I haven't written before this because I had to gather my thoughts there is so much I want to say. I could just look at you and see the kindness in your eyes the joy on your face and feel the love in  your  ❤ . You were the most honest and true person I have ever known. You were my hero my inspiration and my 1st love. You never had a bad thing to say about anyone . The love you showed us all was warm and comfortable  and always reassuring.  I gonna miss looking in to those blue eyes and seeing your heart and feeling your love. I look at your picture everyday and see the pure look of love on your face and that helps me handle each and every day I spend without you. I am so thankful for .all the years that I had here on earth with you., and for all the things you taught me with the wisdom that you had. I hope and pray that my children feel the love from me that I felt from you. I am so thankful that my children were able to experience your love. I miss you my daddy. I miss you. 

My dad was my biggest fan. He always supported me through out my life. I was so lucky to have such a loving father. I will truly miss you. I am brokenhearted to not have you in my life now. However, I do know that you are not suffering anymore and I take solace in that. You touched so many people's lives. Your smile and positive attitude will be missed by all.  I know that I will be ok in time because you taught me to be a strong woman. Love you with all of my heart.

My Uncle Lenny was my dad's older brother. I have so many fond memories of him throughout my life and always remember Uncle Lenny for his great joy in life and love for his family. Unconditional! I will miss his smile and special ability to see the best in people and enjoy fully what life had to offer.
May his memory be for a blessing.

Papa Lenny was such an amazing man. I had the blessing of getting to know him over the years living at Karen's house. There wasn't a time I would pass him in the living room while he watches his horse racing and giving me a big smile and hug♡ He was an honorable man that has touched the life of very person that knew him.  He welcomed me and treated me like I was part of the family. He did such an amazing job raising strong, selfless and overall wonderful women that I know he could not be more proud of. He lived such a full life I always enjoyed hearing his stories. He is going to be greatly missed, but each of you have a guardian angel now. May Papa Lenny rest in peace, he will  continue to live on in the hearts of his family members and friends♡

My Papa Lenny was the best person I ever knew. He was loved by all. I was blessed to live with him when I was young and then again in my 20’s. During that time he showed me how to put others first and how to love and care for everyone without any judgment. He was a saint and everyone from the Sumkin family and Altamura/ Gaudino/ Bifalco family knew it. All he ever cared about was putting a smile on his loved ones faces and making sure that they will be happy even when he’s gone. The last time I spoke to him he told me that he wants me to be happy with whatever I do in life and I promise I will try to live up to that every day. I lost my best friend but he will forever be apart of me and I will forever be a better person for it. - “Here’s to those who wish us well”

I had the privilege of calling my grandfather my best man at my wedding. This was just two weeks before his passing. He was someone I will always look up too. A world war II Vet and always my hero. He loved his horse racing and from when I was little he would take me to otb down the block. We used to walk there and always got to enjoy his company on our trips to saratogas race track. A hero and idol and a great man. 

Leonard Sumkin was my grandpa. He was one of the strongest men in my life. He showed me and my family to love everyone unconditionally and that every day is a blessing. He lived such a beautiful life surrounded by his family. His love for his family and the horse races was truly undeniable. I am so proud to call myself his granddaughter. He was a fighter and will always be remembered as one. Thank you, papa, for all the memories and serving our country during WWII. You will always be remembered and always be my hero. I love you so much. This has been a heartbreaking situation for all who had the opportunity to meet him. Especially, in the current situation, we are all in, we haven't had the opportunity to correctly celebrate his beautiful life. During this time, please send prayers and strength to my family. We greatly appreciate all the love & condolences from everyone.
