

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael T. Irons, 54, of Kings Park, New York, who left us on Monday, January 6, 2025. He was a man whose love for his family and friends knew no bounds. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering support.
Michael was the proud father of two sons, Michael and Anthony, with whom he shared a special bond. A constant presence in their lives, he loved nothing more than attending his son’s sporting events, coaching from the sidelines, and celebrating their victories, big and small. His dedication to them was a testament to the depth of his love, and they were the center of his world.
Devoted brother to Helen (née Irons) Morgan, and his bond with her was a cornerstone of his life. He was also a proud and cherished uncle to his three nieces, always eager to share in their joy and celebrate their milestones.
A true sports fanatic, Michael’s passion for the New York Giants and Yankees was unmatched. Whether it was watching the game on television or spending time with family at sporting events, his enthusiasm for his teams was infectious. His love for sports extended beyond just watching—it was a passion he shared with his sons, creating unforgettable memories together.
Michael's warmth and generosity were not limited to his family. He was the kind of person who opened his heart and home to everyone, with a welcoming spirit that made others feel instantly at ease. His mantra was "the more, the merrier," and his house was always full of laughter, love, and the shared joy of good company. His ability to make others feel valued and appreciated was one of his most cherished traits.
A visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 W Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801.
