Patricia A Friedman (nee Hogan), a longtime resident of Hicksville, NY passed away peacefully at age 92 on March 23, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, NY Patricia was the 7th of 10 children born to the late Joseph and Mary Ethel Hogan. Pat was a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel Grammar school and St Joseph’s High School.
Pat married the love of her life, the late John T. in 1951. Moving to Hicksville in 1960 they raised two sons, John T. and Donald P. Cavanaugh. They formed lasting friendships with all their neighbors and were founding and active parishioners of St Paul the Apostle RC Church in Brookville.
Pat worked as a supervisor for Island Transportation Company in Babylon, NY. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and preparing St Patrick’s Day feasts.
Pat adored her family and cherished the many family gatherings (which were many). Pat was a devoted and loving grandmother to Ryan J. (Heather) and Joseph J. Cavanaugh.
Pat is survived by her treasured sister, Regina Foudy and sister-in-law Loretta Nassau. Predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Pat loved and was loved deeply by her many nieces and nephews.
