It's been 5 years on since you unceremoniously made your way onto heavens gate. You passed on of all days Valentine's Day. That surely has a Hollywood script somewhere. As Valentine's Day has the world thinking of Hearts and Baloons and Chocolate and Hallmark Cards of every description it all cannot hold a Candle to you my friend. Dear Joanne, Craig, Claudette and grandchildren, 

As I sit here and reflect on the last three years without Phil > to Joanne, Dad> Craig and Claudette, and Grandpa> Grandchildren and Uncle Butch to myself.  You often ask yourself why this beautiful man was taken away from all of us so soon. There really isn't an answer not one that makes sense anyway. It's easy to say he's in a much better place as we often say in regards to the deceased. I (myself) cannot say that and be 100% certain. The only one who can is the Big Man upstairs who pushes the buttons and controls the strings. I wonder if he got that one right.......... God Bless.

It's been two years since the passing of someone very special. Not only to me personally but to all of those who knew him on any level. I called him Butch(ie) most of the time as did most of the people who knew him. I worked alongside him countless times as a go-fer, I was a young man barely into my twenties and witnessing a man (Butch) honing ones craft to perfection dare I say Da-vinci like. I'm sure he's remodeling the pearly gates with a little bit of brick here and there. Heaven is definitely our loss. God bless.......... Love Cousin Vin.

Dear Aunt Joanne, Craig and Claudette . 
It's with deepest regret and heartfelt sympathy upon learning about Uncle Butch.
He meant so much to everyone who knew him. He made my wife and children laugh and just knowing him not just as Uncle Butch but a father figure I looked up to in so many ways. The Lord and the powers that be have taken a very very SPECIAL man to a very special place albeit way too soon. As I sit here in my e-zee chair with watery eyes and a heavy heart, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Mauro Family. To close I would just like to add........ Hey Coach God if you need a six foot putt to beat Team Evil, don't look any further than that man standing there with a trowel in one hand and a Taylor Made putter in the other. You can count on him because he won't miss. Love you Butch.

Words can’t express the deep heartfelt grief that we are all feeling. As a kid, he was larger than life.. As an adult he was a best friend. I will miss him forever. The universe takes us all back eventually but it took him too soon.
